Please be as specific as possible in your emails, don't just write "the software doesn't work". For example, if you try to create a certain barcode, make sure to specify the barcode symbology your are using (UPC, EAN, Databar etc.). Please make also sure to have a look at the BarcodeGenerator Manual.

If you find that a barcode that was created with our software does not scan, please mail the code as PNG or TIFF with at least 300 dpi resolution. Make sure to include the settings that were used, e.g. by making a screenshot of the BarcodeGenerator application window.

Frequent Issues

Some of the supported barcode families are standardized, which means that the size and / or data content must follow certain rules. For example, a UPC-A barcode (used on groceries and the like) encodes exactly twelve digits, no more, no less. If you do not enter twelve digits for UPC-A the software can't create this barcode type and will issue a warning message. See the BarcodeGenerator Manual for a more details on this.
Code 128 is almost always created with a check digit. If a created code will not scan, make sure that "Check Digit" is ticked in the software.
EAN/UPC Codes require at least an output resolution of 300 dpi, preferrably higher.
